Exactly three and a half decades ago, in a small workshop in Kraljevo, with limited resources but an abundance of knowledge, vision, and enthusiasm, the story began of a company that would grow from the foundations of a family business into a significant European partner in the energy and infrastructure industries. Back then, it was called Amiga. Today – Beam Europe.
A Purposeful Beginning – The Vision of Founder Miroslav Tlačinac
The founder of the company, Miroslav Tlačinac, believed in hard work, consistency, and quality. He did not strive for quick successes, but rather for long-term creation that would last and serve generations. The first poles of Amiga were erected on the Ibar quay in Kraljevo and near the Žiča Monastery. Symbolically, from lighting the tradition, the path to illuminating the future began.

From those beginnings, Amiga grew slowly but steadily. The first 30 years were marked by positioning the company as a renowned manufacturer of public lighting poles, specialized steel structures, and equipment for public and energy infrastructure.

Today, its engineering, manufacturing, and sales teams serve customers in more than 20 countries across four continents.
A Mark Through the World and Time
„We have successfully conquered markets of Greece, Romania, the Netherlands, Denmark, Finland, Cyprus, Spain, the former Yugoslav republics, Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, as well as African countries such as Uganda, Angola, Gabon, and Nigeria.

We have also won numerous awards: Captain Miša Anastasijević, Exporter of the Year, Crown of Quality, Star of International Quality, Oscar of Quality, and most recently – Business Success in 2024.
Our poles, structures, and systems have been installed at almost all key infrastructure projects in the country and the region. We have built entire or partial structures for numerous sports, business, and industrial facilities both in country and abroad.
Through the modernization of our production process and continuous investment in knowledge, we have established a modern plant with CNC and robotic lines for metal processing, as well as meeting all relevant international standards (ISO 9001:2015; ISO 14001:2015; ISO 45001:2018; EN 1090-2:2018 EXC4; SRPS AAA EN 1090-2:2018 EXC3; EN 3834-2; EN 40-5:2002 and EN 40-6:2002- CE Mark; ISO 26000:2010), so that today we have the capacity to respond to the most demanding international projects,” is the message of the company, which proudly celebrates its first 35 years.

The strength of Amiga has always been its employees. Many have spent 10, 20, and some even 30 years of their careers at the company, eventually retiring with the recognition they deserved. Many of them also brought their spouses and children into the fold, but together, they formed a community that is not defined solely by numbers, but by values: trust, dedication, and pride in what they create.
That’s why Amiga, now Beam Europe, has never been just a production system – it has always been a living organization of knowledge, trust, and unity. And the number that most defines this company today is – 35. Thirty-five years of existence, thirty-five years of challenges, work, and results.
A New Era – The Vision of the Second Generation and Integration into Beam Global
In October 2023, Amiga became part of the American group Beam Global, a leader in the development of sustainable solutions for electric mobility, energy independence, and smart city infrastructure. The company adopted a new name – Beam Europe – but retained the same foundation: responsibility, quality, and a human dimension.
Ivan Tlačinac, Head of European Operations, is leading the company into its next phase of development – with a strong focus on technological innovation, sustainability, and the expansion of engineering expertise.
With its integration into the Beam Global family, Beam Europe introduced its latest product to the portfolio in November 2023 – the EV ARC™ , a self-contained solar charging station for electric vehicles. By 2024, the first deliveries were made to the British military base in Cyprus, Spain (Valencia and Barcelona), Romania (Bucharest), and Belgrade’s Nikola Tesla Airport.
In December of the same year, the company acquired the Belgrade-based firm Telcom, further strengthening its engineering capabilities and expanding its presence in the ICT solutions market (energy electronics, rectifiers, inverters, software).

New Products, Local Innovation, Global Reach
Based on EV ARC technology, new products have been developed in Kraljevo and Belgrade:
Beam Spot™
Beam Patrol™
Beam Bike™
Beam Skoot™
Beam Well ™ – already exported to Jordan.

Each of these products represents an advanced step toward sustainable infrastructure, with a focus on energy independence, quick implementation, and resilience in emergency conditions.
In less than two years, Beam Europe has positioned itself as a key hub for European manufacturing and innovation within the Beam Global family – locally rooted, globally present. And new markets are already on the horizon, with goals set for the Middle East and Africa.

A Formula That Lasts
The anniversary that Beam Europe celebrates on July 27, 2025, is not just a symbolic founding date – it is a reminder that success comes to those who approach it honestly, patiently, and with dedication.
Therefore, this milestone is not just a celebration of the company, but of all those who built it: the designers, welders, developers, supporters – who have stayed there, side by side.

What was once Amiga celebrates 35 years that show it is possible to build a world-class family business in Serbia, without compromising on quality, without losing identity, and with an important message:
„We are grateful to everyone who was part of this journey. We may have changed the name, but the most important things remain the same: people, values, and belief in what we create“.
